About Hero MotoCorp Ltd

During the 1980's Hero Group combined with Hero Honda Motors Ltd and other groups of companies introduced motorcycles in the Indian market which were known for their fuel economy and low cost. Hero MotoCorp Ltd. was changed from Hero Honda Motors Ltd on 29 July 2011. Hero MotoCorp has a 46% market share in the two-wheeler segment, it is the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world as well as India.

The split of the Japanese partner Honda was due to company differences of sharing the technology as well as problems in the royalty and important decision between Honda and the Hero Group. The difference kept on brewing and at the end, the company had to split or changed as per the market scenario and circumstances. Hero Group bought all the shares which belonged to Honda and become a single-handed owner or Hero Honda Motors Ltd which was renamed to Hero MotoCorp Ltd
